Planting a tree can be very beneficial to the health of the environment. Earth Day and Arbor Day at the end of April is a great time to plant trees, being the first opportunity where the ground is usually warm enough to plant. Plants will be sold on a first come, first serve basis, we are not doing any preorders. Cash, check, and card payments will be accepted. Newaygo County Fairgrounds- 815 S. Stewart Ave., Fremont.
The Friends of the Shelby Library hold this sale every year to benefit their organization. The event is held on the lawn of the Shelby Area District Library- 189 Maple St., Shelby.
The Mason County Garden Club holds two plant sales annually at Leveaux Park, one in May and the other in September. The sales are held at Leveaux Park, East Ludington Avenue near Madison Street, in Ludington. It is a great time to get various plants and bulbs to brighten up your garden. You can either bring a plant to exchange, or you can purchase a plant if you don’t have any to exchange.
